Church Planting

 

The third part of Cedarcreek’s Mission Statement is “Send”.  The church will be a training center to raise up leadership within the church for future guidance and growth.

Coulee Rock Church Plant – LaCrosse, WI    

In 2008 Pastor Doug Markofski and his wife, Miki, felt called of God to develop a team to plant a church in LaCrosse, Wisconsin.  The first year was spent recruiting a team of people to form the core of the church plant.  God laid it on the hearts of 22 adults, along with their 14 children, to be part of this team.  Many of these people were young married couples who had come to Cedarcreek through The Edge college ministry.

In the fall of 2009, Cedarcreek did a capital campaign fund raiser to support this team.  Approximately $400,000 was raised.  The team moved in the spring and summer of 2010.  God raised up a building to purchase in a very strategic part of the city.  The church started meeting and getting rooted in the fall of 2010.  Their first public service was Sunday, May 8, 2011.  In 2014, Pastor Dave Lennander and his wife, Sandy, moved to La Crosse to help pastor the church.
